ÄÄNIAALTO FESTIVAL 2025

You are invited to experience audiovisual oddities at the new media and sound festival ÄÄNIAALTO IX - (E)merging Tides. The festival highlights performances, audiovisual artwork, talks, and panel discussions from up and coming artists.

ÄÄNIAALTO IX dives into the tides of emerging and merging art dimensions. The selected performances discuss ecocritical, neo-material and posthuman themes. The various collisions of these themes flow into each other for the festival. The tidal movement gathers us to ask questions such as, how humans and nature live in harmony, who has agency, and ultimately what is humans’ place in the world in relation to their changing environment and relationships.
