Invitation to the 2nd Nordic Workshop on Digital Foundations of  Business, Operations, and Strategy (DBoS)

This invitational hands-on and small-scale two-day research workshop on digital foundations of business, operations, and strategy brings together a group of 30 – 40 researchers from the Nordics and close by regions from information systems, computer science, operations management, marketing and strategy. The main focus of the workshop is developmental and it focuses on presenting and commenting on early stage research that junior and senior scholars are working in interdisciplinary fields at the frontiers of digital foundations of business, operations, and strategy.

The intent of the workshop is bridge scholarly communities of information systems, strategy, and operation management in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere, and provide opportunities for cross disciplinary learning and insight on digital foundations of business, operations, and strategy.

Enrolment and more information
If you are interested to present your ongoing research on digital foundations of a business area, please submit an extended abstract of no more than 6 pages via the registration form. The deadline for submissions is 31.12.2019. We will send out more information to participants by the end of the year and also confirm your presentation slot. The submissions are reviewed based on the fit to the theme of the workshop. The participation is limited to max 50 attendees. We hope to include all interested but we reserve the right to restrict the number of presenters to maintain the workshop manageable.

The workshop will run partially on two tracks. The workshop will also include an academic keynote by a leading digital innovation/transformation scholar and a presentation by leading Finnish industry manager on the challenges of digital transformation and innovation.

The workshop is organised in cooperation with the Digital Disruption of Industry research consortium
