The top-level seminar series throughout the autumn presents the projects and views of key players in Finland's energy sector on the energy systems of the future, the cureent situation, as well as the vision for the future.
This seminar series also functions as a discussion forum and chance to network with faculty and others in the energy field.
The seminars will take place on Tuesdays at 16.15–17.30 and they are open to all who are interested. The first half hour is reserved for presentations and the rest is for discussion and networking.
Students at Aalto University will also be able to attend an introductory course linked with the lecture series: Introduction to advanced energy solutions, which will cover the same topics.
Welcome!
Programme
All seminars are held on Tuesdays, starting at 16.15.

Master's Programme in Advanced Energy Solutions
This lecture series is part of the Master's Programme Advanced Energy Solutions – get to know the four major subjects of the programme via the links below!
Energy Systems and Markets - Advanced Energy Solutions, Master of Science (Technology)
We are currently moving toward an energy system that is sustainable, smart and flexible. The energy transition requires new ways of thinking about energy, including its sources, production, markets, transmission and use. The Master's Programme in Advanced Energy Solutions is an excellent place for you to start reshaping our energy system.
Energy Systems and Markets -major offers basic understanding of energy systems, the main challenges our energy solutions are facing today and possible ways towards a sustainable future.

Energy Conversion Processes - Advanced Energy Solutions, Master of Science (Technology)
Did you know that all of the buildings in Finland could use solar energy for heating? Or that understanding airborne spreading of viruses requires knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics?
If you want to be part of solving these critical questions of the future, the Master’s Programme in Advanced Energy Solutions may be the perfect match for you. The programme offers short- and long-term solutions and tools for problem-solving as the sustainable energy conversion processes are a critical component in the future energy system.

Energy in Buildings and Built Environment - Advanced Energy Solutions, Master of Science (Technology)
Did you know that buildings are currently responsible for 40 % of primary energy consumption and roughly half of electricity consumption?
If you want to address big societal issues such as global warming and healthy indoor climate, The Master’s Programme in Advanced Energy Solutions may be the perfect match for you. By studying the efficient use of energy in the fields of building technology and services as well as on the design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, you will work with creating sustainable and comfortable indoor environments.

Industrial Energy Processes - Advanced Energy Solutions, Master of Science (Technology)
Interested in a career in energy for our society? Want to be involved in the development of industrial energy solutions of the future? The Master’s Programme in Advanced Energy Solutions may be the perfect match for you.
The Industrial Energy Processes and Sustainability major gives students a basic and advanced understanding of the industrial energy processes, outlines the main challenges energy solutions in industry are facing today, and introduces possible ways towards a sustainable future.
