We organise EDI-themed (equality, diversity, and inclusion) film evenings that also include a panel discussion with invited guests on the themes of each film. The events are free of charge and open to all Aalto staff and students. All catering is vegan. The language of the discussion is English.

Kaleidoscope Cinema is funded by the Diversity and Inclusivity Funds of the School of Electrical Engineering and the School of Science. In 2025, Kaleidoscope Cinema hosted five film screenings and reached a total of approximately 125 participants. The programme covered a wide range of timely topics, including neurodiversity, women in tech, Sámi cultural heritage and identity, the intergenerational impacts of colonialism, disability and accessibility in academia, and masculinity.
