Artistic and research interests

Dr. Ylirisku works as a university teacher in the Visual Art Education programme at the Department of Art. Her doctoral dissertation explores environmental art education using a critical posthumanist approach. Ylirisku's research interests include linkages of environmental thought and art education, posthumanist educational philosophies, postqualitative and artistic methodologies, and multispecies and material entanglements. Her recent artistic practice is inspired by walking art.
