Juha M.E. Kinnunen is emeritus professor of accounting. His main research areas include financial accounting and reporting, financial statement analysis, and firm valuation.
Kinnunen has held various positions at the Department of Accounting of Aalto University School of Business (formerly Helsinki School of Economics) since 1977. He received his doctorate at HSE in 1988 and served as a full professor of accounting from 1998 until his retirement in 2016. Apart from his academic work, Kinnunen has had positions of trust both within and outside the academe, and has provided management education, consulting and auditing services for various organisations in Finland.
