A performance on sea eutrophication

The monologue explored as a theme the proliferation of algae due to the high concentration of nutrients poured in the water by human activity. Cladophora is a thin and filamentous green algae that was used to create a costume.

It was worked as a wool felt under water in a sheet that was then pressed and oven dried. Pine needles were used to sew sheets between each other, as a metaphor of two species available on the Finnish coastline.
