Lost or forgotten access token

How to proceed if my access token is forgotten or lost?

Students

  1. Mark the HSL card as lost in the Aalto self-service portal idm.aalto.fi.
  2. Get a new HSL card. Register and activate your new HSL card as a student token in the self-service portal.

Staff

To replace a lost or forgotten token, you can pick up a new token from lobby services. Be prepared to verify your identity. Lobby services provide new and temporary tokens to staff, visitors and tenants.

If you have lost your token, you need a new one.  

  1. Mark the old token as lost in either the Aalto self-service portal idm.aalto.fi (staff and visitors) or ACRE Extranet extranet.aaltocre.fi (tenants).
  2. Pick up a new token from lobby services. Be prepared to verify your identity.  
  3. Register and activate the new token in either the Aalto self-service portal idm.aalto.fi (staff and visitors) or ACRE Extranet extranet.aaltocre.fi (tenants).

If an infra user or onsite provider needs a new token to replace a lost one, lobby services will add a new token to the user record in Abloy OS and mark the old one as lost to deactivate it.  

If you have forgotten your token, you will be given a temporary one to borrow.  

  1. Pick up a temporary token from lobby services. You may need to verify your identity.  
  2. Register and active the borrowed token in the Aalto self-service portal idm.aalto.fi (staff and visitors) or ACRE Extranet extranet.aaltocre.fi (tenants).
  3. When no longer needed, remove the borrowed token and reactivate the original token in the self-service portal or ACRE Extranet.  
  4. For reuse of the tokens, the borrowed temporary tokens need to be returned to the lobby services.
