Accessibility of the Marsio building

Information about the accessibility of the Marsio building.

Marsio is a place for meetings, events and exhibitions in the middle of the campus (Otakaari 2).

Marsio's main entrance is accessible, the main door opens automatically with a button. 
The door does not have contrast stickers. The main lobby is spacious and well-lit, with sufficient free space both inside and outside the door for movement, e.g. with a wheelchair. The lobby service point and lifts are wheelchair accessible.

In the main lobby of Marsio, there are two accessible toilets. From the main lobby, there is unobstructed access to the lift, which has floor buttons positioned at a height suitable for wheelchair users, for example.

Parking and arrival

Drop-off traffic is directed to the parking area between Otakaari 1 and the Marsio building.

The nearest parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility are located in the parking area between Otakaari 1 and Marsio (2 spots). The route from the parking spaces to Marsio is well-lit and clear.

Induction loops

There is an induction loop in the main lobby of Väre. 

Public transport

In the immediate vicinity of the Väre building, there are bus stops, a metro station Aalto University and Light rail line 15 stop. The distance to all of these is approximately 150-300 metres.
