Camp descriptions
Scientist Camp
At Aalto University Junior’s Scientist Camp, participants dive into the world of laboratory work, scientific research, and observation. During the camp, participants learn safe laboratory practices, explore a wide range of research methods, and discover new ideas together with other science‑minded campers. Participants get to carry out projects especially related to water and water research, making their own observations along the way – without forgetting to play and have fun in the summer.
The camp program is the same every week (with a shortened schedule during Midsummer week).
Robotics Camp
At the robotics camp, participants get excited about robotics and programming! The camp offers a diverse introduction to robots and robotics. Participants get to use their creativity by designing, building, and programming their own robot.
The camp content is the same as last year.
Price
Five-day camps 150 € and four-day camps 120 €. The price includes the camp program and a hot lunch.
Registration
Due to high demand, camp participants will be selected by lottery this year. The lottery application form can be completed between 2–8 March 2026. The order of registration does not matter. We will email those who receive a camp place or a place in the waiting list on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. After this, there will still be a possibility to get a place from the waiting list if not all selected participants accept their spot.
On the lottery form, you may enter 1–2 children (one participant plus a friend or sibling). Any duplicate registrations to the same camp will be removed before the draw. A camp place received through the lottery must be accepted via a link sent by email. The place must be accepted and the camp fee paid by 15 March 2026 at the latest. After this date, the place will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. Participation can be cancelled free of charge until 30 April 2026. After that, the camp fee will be refunded only upon presentation of a medical certificate.
