Aalto WiT Programme
Bridging capacities to advance resilience of human settlements
Organised by World in Transition Research Lab (WiTLAB) at Aalto University, the 5-month transdisciplinary WiT Programme is a diploma programme designed to empower participants to advance the resilience of human settlements in low and middle-income countries. By partnering with international organisations and local communities, we blend scientific methodologies with real-life experiences in humanitarian architecture, emergency response, and sustainable development.
We are calling all professionals and academics in architecture, design, engineering, business, and social sciences for an opportunity to gain complementary knowledge and expand your horizons through interdisciplinary collaboration in the field. Our three main themes, Sustainable Built Environment, Cultural Heritage and Development, and Humanitarian Responses, will immerse you in critical topics shaping our world today.
With a master's degree OR a bachelor's degree + 3 years of working experience as a prerequisite, you'll acquire strategic and practical knowledge of concepts, methods, tools, and procedures - essential skills for working in complex, intercultural environments with multiple stakeholders.
Aalto WiT Programme will start in January 2024, while the application period is 15th of August - 30th of September 2023. With officially registered and transferable studies, the programme provides a 30 credits diploma.
