Overview

SGT Studio is part of Sustainable Global Technologies Programme that combines engineering, architecture, design and business to contribute to sustainable development. During the course students form multidisciplinary teams to carry out real-life projects linked to global development challenges. 

Master's and PhD level course.

How does this course promote work-life connections?

The student projects are real-life cases with different partners and real clients. Student teams are challenged to work together with many different disciplines and cultures. The process simulates real work-life environment in development sector and the results contribute to partners’ needs.

Teaching methods

Methods are based on interactive/participative methods, student centered approaches, problem/challenge-based learning and design thinking; team work, workshops, short lectures, presentations, peer-reviews, expert meetings, reflection diary, mentoring, and field work.
