If you are moving out of Finland, take care of official notifications and other practical matters related to your move.
Public Authorities
Submit a notification of move to the Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV) and Posti

Notify Kela
- If you get benefits from Kela or if you have a European Health Insurance Card notify Kela. File a notification in the OmaKela e-service | Our Services | Kela or on the form Moving from Finland or employment abroad Y 38e (PDF).
Check Tax-Related Matters
- Report your new address and foreign bank account for a possible tax refund in MyTax or on a paper form before moving. You can also provide a foreign bank account number.

Check your pension accrued in Finland
- The earnings-related pension earned in Finland will not be paid to you until you are entitled to a pension due to your age and apply for a pension. Earnings-related pension is paid to you regardless of the country in which you live or which country you are a citizen of.

Banking
- Close bank accounts, cancel debit and credit cards, and invoice payment arrangements
Children
- Notify the school, kindergarten, hobbies, etc., of the move, and ask for the necessary certificates
- Apply for new school and daycare places in the destination country
Housing
- Termination of the tenancy agreement (check the notice period)
- Ask for a possible security deposit when you move out of the rental apartment
- Owner-occupancy: sale or rental
