Research and Innovation Services/Open Science and ACRIS team and Management Information Services offer bibliometric services for Aalto University’s researchers in the forms of publication analyses, which examine the visibility and impact of publication activities.

The utilisation of publication analyses

  • Analyses based on citations and publication amounts are potential tools in recruitment, career assessments, funding applications and in organizations internal evaluations.
  • Publication analyses are  utilised in the Tenure Track recruitment and career paths at different stages.
  • The quality of publications, according to the classification of Publication Forum, influences the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture’s funding allocations to universities.

Affiliation information

For purposes of researcher evaluations and assessments, it is very important that the authors enter their organizational affiliation correctly in scientific publications. The address must be indicated as follows: Department of X, Aalto University, FI-00076 Aalto, Finland. The name of the Department should be written in full and not abbreviated.
