Hirotomo Nishihara

Dr. Hirotomo Nishihara received his PhD from the Kyoto University (Japan) in 2005 working with Professor Hajime Tamon. Soon after getting his PhD, he became an Assistant Professor at the Tohoku University (Japan) working with Professor Takashi Kyotani. He was then promoted to an Associate Professor in 2011. He joined an honourable member of the PREST program organized by the Japan Science and Technology from 2013 to 2017. He is an editorial board member of Scientific Reports. His research interests include porous materials, carbon materials, adsorption, supercapacitors, hydrogen storage, lithium-ion batteries, and fuel cells.
