Anker Degn Jensen

Anker Degn Jensen is professor of catalysis and catalytic process engineering at the Department of Chemical & Biochemical Engineering, The Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He obtained his PhD from the same institution on catalytic chemistry of the formation and reduction of nitrogen oxides in fluidized bed combustion. He then did a post doc at Advanced Fuel Research in the US, before returning to DTU to become an assistant professor. His current main research interests include among other heterogeneous catalysis for conversion of syngas to methanol and higher alcohols, conversion of biomass to fuels and chemicals and flue gas cleaning (NOx, hydrocarbons, CO and particulates) from stationary and mobile sources. He has published more than 210 peer-reviewed journal articles and held many lectures at international conferences. His current H-index is 42 (WoS). He has received several prizes for his research among other from the Foundation of His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark and the Jorck Foundation. He has supervised more than 43 PhD students and more than 300 BSc/BEng and MSc students.
