Matilda Backholm, Sesilja Aranko and Suvi Arola received three year funding as Academy postdoctoral researchers. Matilda will focus pinning and dissipation of magnetic drops on superhydrophobic surfaces, Sesilja will investigate possibilities to make tougher spider silk with the help of protein ligase pairs, and Suvi will study biorefining of new cellulosic materials from forest industry fibers.
