The recruitment of Vice President for Research has started

Vice President Tuija Pulkkinen will take up a new position at the University of Michigan.

The recruitment process to find the next Vice President for Research has begun (see the announcement at aalto.fi), with the aim of making the appointment during September’s board meeting.

We are now searching for a new vice president who can continue our university’s renewal,’ says Kristiina Mäkelä, Provost of Aalto University.

A recruitment committee has been formed to carry out the recruitment process of the Vice President.

The committee is chaired by Professor Timo Saarinen, Vice Dean of the School of Business and its members are:

Orlando Rojas, Professor, School of Chemical Engineering
Vesa Välimäki, Vice Dean, Professor, School of Electrical Engineering

Ahti Salo, Professor, School of Science
Noora Vänttinen, Chair of the Board, Aalto University Student Union AYY
Tilman Bauer, Doctoral Candidate, Doctoral students’ association Aallonhuiput
