Recruitments of Vice Presidents and Dean are progressing

Vice President for Research and Innovation Tuija Pulkkinen will move to the University of Michigan in the autumn to lead the Department of Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering.

Vice President for Education Eero Eloranta is retiring on 18 September 2018. The nomination decision will be on the Board’s agenda in its June meeting, and the appointed person is expected to begin his/her work on 1 September 2018.

The Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering, Janne Laine, whose five-year term ends at the end of 2018, has announced that he will not apply for the second term. The process of recruiting the new Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering has been initiated.

The recruiting process of the Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering is carried out by a recruitment committee that broadly covers the fields of the school. Please send your proposal by 4 June to Anna Lehtinen ([email protected]). Proposals will be, however, gladly received during the whole application period, which expires on 22 June. If you yourself are interested in the role, please submit your application here.
