Dr. Maja Vuckovac receives 2018 Exerowa-Platikanov Award

Dr. Vuckovac has been granted the Exerowa-Platikanov Award for best oral presentation at the European Colloid and Interface Society (ECIS) annual conference 2018.

Dr. Vuckovac presented novel methodological research on wetting characterisation and mapping using scanning droplet adhesion microscopy. This cutting-edge technique is being developed by Dr. Vuckovac and colleagues in the Soft Matter and Wetting research team, led by Prof. Robin Ras, at Aalto University's Department of Applied Physics, in collaboration with the Robotic Instruments group of Prof. Quan Zhou.

Team of Interior Architecture and Contemporary Design students won the Habitare Design competition 2023

The Habitare Design Competition is intended for students studying art, design, and architecture in Finland. This year ‘s theme of the competition was “Tools for togetherness”, which required the teams to design and implement new types of tools to promote togetherness and interaction on a human scale or more widely.
