November after work event on 30 Nov, 3.30pm at Bistro Tenhola – welcome!
One month ago, our very first after work event drew a large crowd of Aalto personnel at Bistro Tenhola in Dipoli. We would like to encourage everyone to enjoy a pleasant moment together at the after work event on Thursday 30 November, beginning at 3.30pm − all members of the Aalto community are warmly welcome!
Dipoli gallery news: Art catalogue and video
Dipoli's art collection, Radical Nature, consists of over 30 works of art that will be spread throughout Dipoli. Please avoid placing any posters or items in front of the artworks.
Dipoli’s art catalogue has been a success and will be ordered more for stakeholder use. You can find Dipoli's art video on Facebook.
More information on the exhibitions at the gallery in Dipoli and on the other exhibitions at all Aalto galleries can be found on the Showcase website. The programmes for spring 2018 will be updated soon.
If you need to arrange an art tour for a group, or if you have any questions about or ideas for an exhibition, please contact Art Coordinator Outi Turpeinen (outi.turpeinen@aalto.fi).
Junction takes over Dipoli and the parking spaces 22–26 November
Junction, which has grown from Aalto's society for entrepreneurship into Europe's largest hackathon, will bring over 1400 coders to Dipoli from around the world. The event will be held on the weekend of 24–26 November, but its construction will begin already on Wednesday 22 November. The parking spaces at Dipoli will be in use by the event from Tuesday evening from 6pm up until Monday morning at 7am. We ask that all staff use the staff parking space on the upper side of Otahalli.
During the weekend, the doors to Käpy and Juhla as well as the front door to the Takka-Poli-Palaver lobby will be reserved for the event. If you intend to work in Dipoli during the weekend, please use the other outer doors of the building, such as Pohjoisovi on the other end of the Käpy lobby.
