Aalto Scholars receive Best Paper Award at 2016 Global Marketing Conference

Research team from the Department of Marketing wins the Youngone Best Conference Paper Award.

Scholars from the Department of Marketing at Aalto University presented numerous papers at the 2016 Global Marketing Conference, which was held in Hong Kong. The conference is one of the prime marketing conferences held in Asia and draws together scholars from Asia, Europe and North America.

One of our research teams was awarded the Yongone Best Conference Paper Award, for a study entitled “Counterfeit as advertising: Exploring the benefits of counterfeit for luxury brands”. In this study the authors explored how luxury brands can benefit from counterfeit products. The research team was comprised of scholars from the Marketing department in Aalto and Stockholm Business School.
