Aalto helps in the midst of the pandemic – over 40 ideas from the community being processed

We collect ideas and solutions from the community to assist authorities and other actors in this situation

Our society is facing huge challenges due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. We at Aalto University have created a new website aalto.fi/aalto-helps where we gather information about initiatives and projects related to the coronavirus pandemic that are currently underway our university.

The Aalto community has a wealth of expertise that would be of great help to battle the corona virus crisis. Do you think you could help? Please use the form on the subpage aalto.fi/wecanhelp to submit your ideas. We ask you to describe your plan, how it would work, and who it would be particularly helpful for. The submitted ideas will be reviewed and the different initiators will be asked to cooperate, if needed. Our university will strive to support the best ideas and turn them into concrete actions.

During the first week, we have received over 40 ideas from our community. All of these initiatives are now being processed.

We aim to bring the best ideas forward in tight cooperation with the authorities and other actors as quickly as possible. We collect ideas centrally because many authorities experience a heavy workload at the moment and therefore wish that organisations provide their assistance in a coordinated way.

We will be publishing a list of all the on-going coronacrisis-related projects on the Aalto Helps site soon.
