Quotas and restrictions:
The minor is for students of technology, especially industrial engineering and management.
Students in the Finnish bachelor's programme (Kemian tekniikan kandidaattiohjelma) cannot take this minor, but it is open for students in the Chemical Engineering major of the Aalto Bachelor's Programme in Science and Technology.
Application process:
No separate application process, the minor is open to all students in the target group.
Content and structure of the minor
In addition to lectures and theoretical studies, the minor and its courses include calculation exercises completed in groups and/or individually as well as project and laboratory work.
Learning outcomes
After completing the minor, students students will understand, at a general level, the operation of natural resource–based process industries, industrial processes, and their balances and sizing. Students will adopt safe and precise working practices in the laboratory.
