Include a study plan (HOPS) with your application, showing the studies of the applied individual minor subject under the Minor studies of your plan. Name the minor and describe your learning goals in relation to the minor. The name of the minor you give in the application will not appear on your diploma, but it gives an idea of the minor as a whole. Once you have received approval from your academic advisor, send it and your complete application to Student Services at studentservices@aalto.fi. Apply for overall approval in Sisu HOPS

Description of the minor

An individual minor subject is a unit of study that a student may assemble from courses of their choice. A student may choose a personal minor if they wish to include skills in their degree that cannot be achieved through the study of existing minors. An individual minor subject must always be a purposeful and identifiable unit. A minor cannot be used to assemble random courses as a minor. The minor cannot have the same name or content as the student's major or any existing minor.
