Content of the minor

Costume Design provides a minor studies module both in the bachelor's degree (Finnish course offering) and Master's degree (English course offering). A BA level minor is in Finnish and is based on BA courses in Costume Design. An MA level minor is in English and is based on MA courses in Costume Design. If necessary, BA courses can also be added to a MA level minor if the applicant can participate in Finnish courses.

Learning Outcomes of the Minor

After completing the Costume Design minor, the student recognizes story-telling characteristics and has an understanding of their meanings and possibilities in different film and performing art productions.

The student deepens the understanding of their own major through minor studies.

Structure of the minor

The structure and content of the minor will be tailored individually with each student in a meeting with the responsible teacher of the minor. The student is able to choose up to 18 credits from the selection of courses based on their learning goals. All courses listed are not necessarily offered every academic year.
