About the minor
Control, robotics and autonomous systems is a multidisciplinary field that creates intelligent
systems capable of performing complex tasks especially related to physical environments.
This field is at the forefront of technological advancements and has applications in various
sectors, including manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, power production, and everyday
life such as smart buildings and consumer electronics.
The minor extends the bachelor-level minor of Automation and Robotics. It offers deeper understanding of modelling, estimation and control of dynamical systems. In addition students will study the development of distributed automation systems.
Learning objectives:
Upon completing the minor, a student is able to:
- understand the need for automation
- design models and controllers for dynamical systems
- analyze properties and dynamics of systems
- develop software for distributed automation systems
Content
The minor consists of 20 credits in total. Students may either choose to complete all compulsory courses or three compulsory courses and one elective course as given in the list below.
