Nessling foundation grants 2023
In the general grant call, we are looking for innovative projects and active researchers that enable or support sustainability transformations with respect for natural systems.
We provide funding for projects that contribute to the Nessling Foundation’s mission to seek systemic solutions for an ecologically sustainable future.
In the general grant call, we award funding for three purposes. You can apply for:
* personal grants for doctoral thesis researchers (for a maximum of 4 years)
* personal grants for post-doc researchers (for a maximum of 2 years)
* grants for implementation projects where research is put into practical use through cooperation between the producers and users of knowledge.

An information session on the 2023 general grant call will be held on 14 June – sign up now!
The information session in English will be conducted via Teams on Tuesday 14 June, 11–12. Participants will receive a Teams invitation and participation link via email. The event will be recorded and the recording will be available for viewing on our general grant call page.
At the information session, Katja Bargum, Science and Executive Director of the Nessling Foundation, will present the guidelines for the autumn call and the new strategy of the Nessling Foundation. Grant coordinator Kristiina Takkinen will answer the applicants’ most common questions about the application process and the application form, and communications specialist Enni Sahlman will present tips about creating a communications and interaction plan. The audience can also ask questions.
