Fortum and Neste foundation's scholarship 2025

The Foundation’s purpose is to support research, education and development in natural, technical and
economic sciences within the energy sector. In particular, we anticipate receiving applications related to
climate change mitigation, emission reductions in energy systems, flexibility and customer-centered solutions, new alternatives for transport, as well as bio-economy and circular economy topics. Structural
renewal according to the principles of sustainable development, interdisciplinarity and solutions exceeding sectorial boundaries are also essential themes.

The application period is 1. - 22.4.2025.

The Foundation will finance mainly doctoral thesis projects with full-year grants of 26 040 €. The Board of the Foundation will make the grant decisions in June. Accepted grants will be paid as monthly payments from 1.8.2025 onwards.

The applications must be submitted to the Grant System by Tuesday 22.4.2025 at 23.59. The focus areas and detailed instructions on how to apply are found at our Grant Management System at the Foundation's
