Workshop – Co-How – Scrutinity of Strategy tools and Methods in Critical Transdisciplinarity
Welcome to the Co-How -project’s workshop on 15.11.2023 at 13.00-16.00 at Q202 in the Väre building, Aalto University campus.
Co-How – Scrutinity of Strategy tools and Methods in Critical Transdisciplinarity is one of the ongoing Radical Creativity projects at Aalto University. The project organises two workshops, which will utilize creative group work methods and reflect on the possibilities and limitations of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration. Focal questions are, in what ways creative field(s) can benefit from research, and how transdisciplinary collaboration could better succeed?
Creating a workplace where creativity can thrive requires organizational structures and leadership practices that encourage, enable, and support individual and collective creativity. These structures and practices should foster collective curiosity, tolerance for uncertainty, and a psychologically safe and socially inclusive environment that encourages experimentation, risk taking, and learning from failure. The first part of the workshop explores fostering organizational creativity focusing on the moral conditions of academic work and the roles that organizational policies and practices of equity, diversity and inclusion play in enhancing or stifling organizational creativity.
For Aalto University, bringing research and education together in a shared working environment of a single and densified campus, with designated hubs and platforms, has been a priority in facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration. The latter part of the workshop discusses, both in terms of theory and practical experiences, what role may the shared physical spaces, research infrastructure and equipment have in organizing collaboration and creativity in interdisciplinary teams. Can the sharing of material premises facilitate sharing of conceptual ideas across disciplinary boundaries?
To confirm your participation, please remember to sign up by November 12th! Drinks and finger food will be served. Places are limited, so in case you would be unable to attend, please remember to cancel your participation.
The language of the workshop is English.
You are warmly welcome! Feel free to share the invitation among your peers and colleagues.
