Workshop: Avatars and Poetry at Design Museum

We kindly welcome you to Design Museum on Saturday 21 May to explore the interactive hybrid installation Matter, Non-matter, Anti-Matter. Past Exhibitions as Digital Experiences. Your experience with the installation will serve as an inspiration for participating in a hands-on collaborative workshop. You'll be working in pairs with images and words from the exhibition, creating own digital avatars and poems to engage in a short virtual poetry session with the workshop group.

The workshop is part of the Performance Oriented Research framework developed at Aalto University, Department of Art and Media in the context of the international collaborative Creative Europe project Beyond Matter – Cultural Heritage on the Verge of Virtual Reality.

The workshop is free of charge and there are places for 8 participants. The working tools, instructions and guidance will be provided. The language of the workshop and instruction is English, but the participants can make poems also in their own languages.  We hope that you could participate the whole duration of the workshop.
