Workshop: Avatars and Poetry

Welcome to Väre main lobby to explore the interactive hybrid installation Matter, Non-matter, Anti-Matter. Past Exhibitions as Digital Experiences. Your experience will serve as an inspiration for participating in a hands-on collaborative workshop. You'll be working in pairs with images and words from the exhibition, creating own digital avatars and poems to engage in a short virtual poetry session with the workshop group.

The workshop is part of the research done at Aalto University, Department of Art and Media in the context of the international collaborative Creative Europe project Beyond Matter – Cultural Heritage on the Verge of Virtual Reality.

The workshop is free of charge and there are places for 8 participants. Previous skills with drawing and 3D software (like Photoshop or Blender) are beneficial but not required. The working tools, instructions and guidance will be provided. The language of the workshop is English.

Registration: Please register by filling our registration form by 2.5.2022. The workshop will be filled in the order of registration.
