Want to explore new ways of turning your research ideas into tools or prototypes without needing a strong technical background? Join us to learn the basics of vibe coding!
Welcome to a hands-on workshop introducing you to vibe coding: a low-barrier, AI-driven approach to coding and prototyping that emphasizes experimentation and learning by doing. Here no coding skills or prior experience is required to get started. With vibe coding, you can create anything from simple websites to apps by just talking with AI.
The workshop begins with an introduction to vibe coding and the tools needed, followed by dedicated time to start building something of your own. You’ll be able to experiment freely and ask practical questions from the workshop host as you go. Don't worry if you don't have any ideas yet, we'll share some suggestions for those just looking to experiment.
Coffee and tea will be served in the morning to get you started, and after the introduction, a light lunch will be provided so you can continue vibing without breaking your flow.
The workshop is hosted by Viivi Marttinen, Head of Community and Talent at Herizon, and Co-Founder of femcode collective. The event is organized by Aalto Inventors, a field-specific innovation training program designed for early-career researchers to explore the impact of their work.
This event is open to researchers at Aalto and the Aalto Inventors community.
