PhD Conference at Sound Studies and Sonic Arts will be held in collaboration with the University of the Arts Berlin, from May 31 to June 1, 2019.
PhD Conference in Berlin

The conference Sonic Research in Academia and the Arts, will take place from May 31- June1, 2019 at the department of Sound Studies and Sonic Arts at the University of the Arts Berlin. Three cooperating universities – the department of Sound in New Media at the Aalto University Helsinki, the Department of Finnish Language and Culture Research at the University of Eastern Finland in Joensuu, and the department of Sound Studies and Sonic Arts at the UdK Berlin, all offering PhD opportunities in the area of Sound Studies, invite students, alumni and anyone interested in the Sonic Arts, Sound in New Media, Soundscape Research, and Sonic Research to delve deeper into the wide range of research topics of this still very young discipline and to develop ideas how to foster the exchange of PhD expertise between these three universities.
