Invest in Your Future remote workshops

Aalto University Junior organizes Invest in Your Future workshops remotely, aimed especially at upper secondary students. 

The purpose of the Invest in Your Future workshops is to increase awareness of responsible investing. The workshops introduce the basic principles of investing, risks, opportunities, and responsible choices in a practical way. The goal is to provide students with the skills to understand the significance of investing. During the workshop, students will create their own imaginary investment portfolio. 

For whom 

The Invest in Your Future workshops are well suited as part of, for example, upper secondary social studies, mathematics, study counseling, as well as the common units (YTO studies) in vocational education. The workshop is intended for upper secondary students. 

When 

Choose a suitable time for your group from the following: 

• Mon 20 April, 12:00–13:15 (in English) 

• Mon 20 April, 15:00–16:15 

• Wed 22 April, 13:30–14:45 

• Fri 24 April, 10:15–11:30 (in Swedish) 

• Fri 24 April, 13:30–14:45 

Materials 

Computers in pairs or small groups 

Duration 

15 min introduction + 60 min independent work in classrooms (total 75 min)

During the remote workshop, the teacher joins the Teams session and supports the students on-site. The video connection should be projected on the wall so everyone can see it. 

During the workshop, students complete independent tasks guided by the instructor via video connection.
