Finnish Social Science Data Archive: Open archiving of data collected from human subjects

Description

Are you collecting data from human subjects? Not sure how you should approach open science, while complying with privacy and ethics requirements? Join this webinar to learn about opening research data collected from human subjects. The opening of the research data collected from human subjects is often not successful if the researchers do not take into account ethical and data protection issues prior to starting the data collection.

In this webinar, the Finnish Social Science Data Archive’s Chief Specialist, Dr. Arja Kuula-Luumi will go through the data types accepted by the Finnish Social Science Data Archive. Dr. Kuula-Luumi instructs how to take into account the opening of research data collected from human subjects already when planning the data collection, with emphasis on data protection and ethics. Also, the topic of opening pseudonymized data from longitudinal studies and data including identifiers is discussed.
