Discover and explore research data, May 15, 2025
Description
Are you looking for existing datasets to support your research? Do you want to analyse data using visual methods? Welcome to a webinar on data re-use and exploratory data visualisation. This webinar is hosted by the KTH Library and part of an Aalto-KTH seminar exchange.
The research landscape is rich with openly available data, but how do you find and make use of it? This workshop will introduce strategies for locating datasets in relevant repositories and showcase examples of data re-use. Additionally, we will walk you through examples on how you can setup a basic visualisation workflow for exploratory data analysis using notebooks (Quarto). With a focus on data reuse and techniques for uncovering insights through graphical representation, you will learn methods for extracting meaningful patterns and insights.
