Defence of dissertation in the field of theoretical and computational physics, Tomi Ketolainen, M.Sc.(Tech.)

Electrical conductivity of carbon nanotube networks can be enhanced with the help of adsorbed transition metal atoms and molecules

Tomi Ketolainen, M.Sc.(Tech.), will defend the dissertation "Electrical conductivity of functionalised carbon nanotube networks" on Friday 8 February 2019 at 1pm at the Aalto University School of Science, lecture hall M1, Otakaari 1, Espoo. In the dissertation, the effect of transition metal atoms and different molecules on carbon nanotube networks was studied. In particular, junctions where the carbon nanotubes had been linked by transition metal atoms or doped with molecules were considered using electron transport calculations.

Opponent: Professor Mads Brandbyge, Technical University of Denmark, Denmark

Custos: Professor Martti Puska, Aalto University School of Science, Department of Applied Physics
