Costume Design 20|10 Research

Costume Design: Performing Arts & Film celebrates 20 years of dedicated Costume Education in Finland and 10 years of the Costume in Focus research group.

The celebration will take place on Fri 24.11. and Sat 25.11. in Väre. The event will feature presentations for the exchange of ideas about the past, present and future of costume design pedagogy and profession, and costume research, alongside a costume exhibition, which will run for three weeks in the main Väre lobby (24.11.-13.12.2023).

Costume design alumni, guest teachers, close partners from UniARTS including TeaK and SibA, cultural foundations-partners such as the Theatre Museum and the National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI), the Finnish Film Foundation, the union of professional costume designers LP/Teme, and costume designers are invited to participate.
