Welcome to listen and discuss about M&A best practices with a leading international scholar and two highly experienced practitioners from the field. Koen Heimeriks, strategy professor at Warwick Business School, UK, will provide insights from his 10+ years of research and work with senior executives at industry-leading companies. Marko Koski, partner at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and Sebastian Knight, who is responsible for M&A at Esperi Care, a healthcare service provider, will share their experiences.

Thougth Leaders

Koen Heimeriks is Professor of Strategy at Warwick Business School. His research focuses on how companies develop corporate development (i.e., alliance, acquisition, and divestiture) capabilities to realize corporate growth in high-tech settings. Besides his research, he trains, consults for, and works with senior executives and board members at publicly listed and large private firms.

Marko Koski is a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in value creation in M&A and strategy. He has experience from leading numerous M&A projects from strategy to execution. He is also an alumnus in Electrical Engineering from Aalto University and also holds an MBA from Aalto University.

Sebastian Knight heads the project management office and is responsible for M&A at Esperi Care, a healthcare service provider. He has been in charge of managing acquisitions and integration of acquired target companies. He is also an alumnus of the Industrial Engineering and Management program at Aalto University.

Jens Schmidt is a strategy professor at Aalto University, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management and the director of the Master’s Programme in Industrial Engineering and Management. His research focuses on strategic thinking, entrepreneurial strategy and ecosystems, and he has worked on strategy development with both large and small organizations.

The event is open for all Aalto alumni who are interested in the topic of strategy. The Aalto Alumni Strategy Circle is an opportunity to meet and discuss with like-minded colleagues, share experiences with them, and hear from the leading experts and practitioners about best practices.
