I am delighted to invite you to a special get-together in Chicago, where we can reconnect, network, and celebrate our shared Aalto University connection.
Our host, Jon K. Jurva, the Finnish Honorary Consul for Illinois and Wisconsin, warmly welcomes you. Jon is a partner in the corporate group at ArentFox Schiff and serves on the national board of the Finlandia Foundation and the Finnish American Chamber of Commerce – Midwest. The event will take place at his law firm's office.
I'm also excited to let you know that Tomi Erho, Aalto University's Head of Innovation Ecosystem Services, will be joining us to share insights on the latest innovations from Aalto.
Additionally, our local alumni ambassadors, Tytti Scarsella and Ari Backman, both graduates of the Helsinki School of Economics and long-time U.S. residents, will be present. Their experiences and perspectives will undoubtedly add great value to our gathering.
This event is also an excellent opportunity to hear the latest news from Aalto University, including updates on how our esteemed university is shaping a sustainable future, driving innovation, educating game changers, and contributing to society.
The event will feature refreshments and opportunities for networking, allowing you to reconnect with old friends and make new connections. The dress code is business casual.
Please RSVP by January 31, 2025.
I look forward to welcoming you!
Warmest regards,
Ilkka Niemelä
President, Aalto University
P.S. Feel free to share this invitation with other Aalto alumni who might be interested in attending.
