Haemme nyt joukkoomme Aalto-yliopiston Perustieteiden korkeakoulun Tietotekniikan laitokselle osaavaa ja motivoitunutta Opetuskoordinaattoria.

ROOLISI

Tietotekniikan laitoksen tutkimus ja opetus edustavat maailman huippuluokkaa, rakentaen pohjaa tulevaisuuden tieteellisille, teknillisille ja yhteiskunnallisille saavutuksille.  Opetuskoordinaattorina mahdollistat osaltasi opetusasioiden sujuvuuden laitoksella tehden tiivistä yhteistyötä laitosjohdon, opettajien ja opintohallinnon kanssa. Tehtävänkuva painottuu prosessien suunnitteluun ja niiden käytännön toteutukseen. Työhön kuuluvia tehtäviä ovat mm.

  • opetusohjelman laadinnassa avustaminen
  • kurssiapulaisten rekrytoinnin ja resurssien koordinointi
  • tohtorikoulutettavien ja tutkijatohtoreiden opetustehtävien koordinointi
  • opettajien avustaminen opetuksen suunnittelussa
  • laitoksen opetuksesta vastaavan varajohtajan avustaminen vaihtelevissa tehtävissä

OSAAMISESI JA MIELENKIINTOSI

Sinulla on tehtävään soveltuva ylempi korkeakoulututkinto ja aiempaa kokemusta vastaavista tehtävistä. Arvostamme yliopistomaailman tuntemusta. Olet henkilö, jolla pysyy langat käsissä paineenkin alla. Hahmotat laajoja kokonaisuuksia ja kykenet prosessien kehittämiseen, mutta hallitset rutiininomaisempienkin tehtävien koordinoinnin tarkalla otteella. Omaat hyvät organisointi- ja vuorovaikutustaidot ja tulet vaivatta toimeen erilaisten yhteistyötahojen kanssa. Edellytämme hyvää suomen ja englannin kielitaitoa sekä tietoteknisiä valmiuksia. Työskentelytapasi on itseohjautuva ja nautit vaihtelevista projekteista.

Assistant Professors in Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science at Aalto University – in the top-20 young universities worldwide – invites applications for tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level. The Department of Computer Science is a large and diverse community welcoming applications in all areas of Computer Science, including but not limited to:

• Computing systems;
• Creative technologies;
• Modern data management;
• Security and privacy;
• Software engineering.

Applicants should demonstrate excellent research potential in addition to teaching ability. The department is committed to fostering an inclusive environment with diverse faculty members. Requirements and Process
Candidates applying to this call are considered for Assistant Professor positions only. Applicants are required to have a doctoral degree in Computer Science or a field relevant to their research in Computer Science, or expected to obtain their doctoral degree no later than August 31, 2021.
The applicants will be reviewed on the basis of their research achievements in relation to their career stage, their teaching merits and activity in the scientific community; recommendation letters will also be taken into consideration, and applicants are encouraged to solicit eminent Computer Science scholars as referees. Short-listed applicants will be invited to present and discuss their research with faculty. Evaluation at the Assistant Professor level follows the tenure track system at Aalto University and is mainly based on research merits as well as the applicant’s potential. A person at any level of the tenure track system is expected to perform world‐class research, to teach, advise and otherwise advance both graduate and undergraduate education, to be an active member of the international scientific community, and to exhibit academic leadership. Career advances on the tenure track are based on scheduled performance assessments, which take into account the candidate’s merits in all these areas.
