Introduction

This was a collaboration with Fiskars company, which manufactures household and freetime equipment and owns many of the most important Finnish and European Design brands. We designed an art museum for modern and contemporary art to their historic site, Fiskars Village in Southern Finland.

Designing at the intersection of other visual arts and architecture involves interdisciplinary approachesto merge aesthetics, spatial experience, as well as methods and findings from other disciplines. We started by case studies on interaction between architecture and other visual arts and then produced the actual building designs.
