The FI-PPP was a 600 million euro programme that aimed to improve EU competitiveness in the Internet economy and to create customized innovations in the European smart Internet services adoption. The Programme focused in areas such as logistics, manufacturing and health care, in which Europe possesses unique assets and requirements. Furthermore, FI-PPP created a useful FIWARE technology platform and generic enablers for these kinds of services, to enable quicker SME adoption of new technologies in Europe.

CONCORD provided the FI-PPP Programme with horizontal activities and services that were common to all FI-PPP participating projects, e.g. CONCORD facilitated the Advisory and Steering Boards of the Programme. CONCORD also provided FI-PPP with a Programme Chair, who was responsible for and coordinated the Programme's internal management and external collaboration activities.
