‘Finnish people always talk about light. During summer they say how fantastic it is when the sun doesn’t set and during winter they talk about the lack of light. At the gym here in Otaniemi, there’s even a room where people go to get more light during the winter. People just sit there in the middle of this light and you aren’t even allowed to talk to other people. In our eyes, it looks like a ready piece of contemporary art that could be placed in some art museum as is. It was also the starting point for our five-person group exhibition work called Sono Luminal Day Spa.’
