"I am originally from Cali, Colombia, where it is really noisy everywhere and everyday life sounds like a never-ending wappu (1 May). When I arrived to Finland, I could not sleep during the first two nights because it was so quiet. Suddenly, I could hear all these new sounds and even my own thoughts. I have really enjoyed staying in Finland. Sibelius had Ainola as an endless inspiration for his music. I have this special place in Otaniemi and that is why I wanted to be photographed here. I come here very often to find inspiration and sometimes even compose here with my computer."
