‘I have received a lot of positive feedback on the junat.net service, which I have done the coding for. Even so, I was especially pleased with the feedback I received from the Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired, which stated that my website, which functions with the use of screen reading software has drastically changed the lives of many blind and visually impaired people. The service makes it possible for the visually impaired to travel by local train without an assistant when necessary. Initially, the application gave real-time information only on the timetables for departing trains, but I have now promised to expand this to also apply to arriving trains. A visually impaired friend joked to me on Twitter that it is now in my hands what type of assistant he will need for a trip to Jyväskylä he has planned for March.’
