“Often people use 3D printers for prototypes, but these chairs were an experiment to produce something that was already being used. The University of Zurich got funding of EUR 25 million to figure out how to use 3D printing on an architectural scale. This is something we should look into here in the ADD Lab as well, together with the Department of Architecture. I think that the one who is first to crack the code on how to make houses with 3D printers is going to win big time.”
