Applying to Bachelor's Programmes

On this page are listed all Aalto University's bachelor's programmes taught in English. Applying is possible once a year during the national spring joint application to higher education. You can access the study option descriptions and applying guidelines through the links below. At the bottom of the page there are links to admission statistics, all our study options, campus and events for you to learn more about Aalto as a study place.

The application period for bachelor's programmes in English is 3–17 January 2024 for studies starting in autumn 2024.

The admission requirements and applying guidelines are published on the Aalto website and in the national Studyinfo service. Study option descriptions are available on our website. The application form is filled out in the Studyinfo service. Below you can find links to the study options both on the Aalto website and in the Studyinfo service.

Language requirements: Bachelor's Programme in DesignIn the fields of science and technology as well as business and economics, no separate proof of language proficiency is required.

You can only apply to one study option leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree at Aalto University during the spring 2024 joint applications to higher education. If you apply to the English-medium study option Design, you will not be able to apply to the study options available in Finnish/Swedish in the field of art and design at Aalto University in the spring 2024 joint application to Finnish/Swedish degree programmes.

Are you already a student at Aalto University?

Please note that Aalto University students cannot be granted a right to pursue a degree in a study option from which they have already earned a degree or for which they have a valid right to pursue a degree.

Instructions for requesting rectification to student admissions

The purpose of the written rectification request procedure is to allow applicants to appeal against Aalto University’s student admission decisions on the grounds of a possible error in the decision-making, and thereby have an erroneous decision corrected.

Bachelor's programmes in English

Aalto University offers bachelor’s programmes in English in the fields of business and economics, science and technology as well as arts and design.

Aalto University Open University

Open University courses are open to everyone regardless of background or age. Open University offers individual courses in Business, Technology, Languages, and Art and Design. Students are admitted to individual courses in the order of registration.
