Remote Study Visits for School Groups
We offer free-of-charge, hands-on remote study visits for all school groups, from primary to upper secondary education. Explore our selection of remote workshops for different educational levels on this page and book a workshop for your group directly via our booking calendar.
Aalto University Junior’s Remote Study Visits Provide a Glimpse into the World of Higher Education
During our remote study visits, children and young people get to experiment, explore, and get inspired! The group works in their own classroom using their own equipment, while an Aalto University Junior instructor leads the session online.
Our remote learning visits are available to school groups across Finland. Teachers can choose one of the following platforms for the session:
• Microsoft Teams
• Zoom.
Our workshops are led by Aalto University students.
Unfortunately, the descriptions of our workshops and our booking system are only available in Finnish for the time being. You can, however, request for any workshop to be held in Finnish, Swedish or English.

Aalto University Junior’s remote workshops are based on top-level research conducted at Aalto University, presented using engaging and inspiring methods tailored for children and youth. The workshop topics are drawn from Aalto’s teaching and research fields. Our multidisciplinary selection includes art, science, business, and technology!

Booking a Remote Study Visit
You can book a remote learning visit using the booking calendar found on this page.
Explore the available workshop topics and see what’s offered at a time that suits your group.
Book a remote learning visit for your group directly through the booking calendar on this page. In the booking calendar, first select a topic area, then choose a suitable date and time. Please fill in your contact details and any requested additional information carefully.
The booking system will send an automatic confirmation email once your reservation is successful. The duration of the visit depends on the workshop. You can find the exact length in each workshop’s description. Please note that each topic is available only on specific dates. Unfortunately, not all workshops are available every day.
The remote learning visit instructors will contact the person who made the booking approximately two weeks before the scheduled session via email to confirm the details. At that time, you will also receive information about any necessary materials or equipment.

Cancelling your booking
If you need to cancel your booking, we kindly ask that you do so as early as possible. You can cancel through the booking system or by sending an email to junior@aalto.fi.
